Why Waste, a waste management company and recovery & recycling depot, is holders of a WASTE MANAGEMENT LICENCE (“WML”) Issued on 7 November 2014 by the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) in terms of section 49(1) of the NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: WASTE ACT 59 OF 2008.
Our licence reference number is: DC23/WML/0008/2014.
The licence obligates Why Waste to perform all activities and processes; that are outlined in the WML’s Environmental Management Programme (EMPr); in an environmentally sound and responsible manner and in accordance with all relevant legislation policies, norms and standards.
